Following four sell-out previews at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington, Action To The Word’s Dracula production, with Jonno Davies in the title role, has now moved up to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it is running from Wednesday 31st July until Monday 25th August (no show on Monday 11th August).
Reaction to the London previews was phenomenal with tremendous feedback on Twitter and Facebook, and there is a buzz of anticipation up in Edinburgh.
Just some of the comments and reviews to date:
“Jonno Davies as Dracula is the first new vampire I’ve seen for a very long while that I can believe is dangerous because of his power of seduction. If he turned up on your doorstep you would let him in rather than say ‘not today thank you,’ like the reception I feel most cold calling vampires would now receive.”
“Performed by a magnificent musician based cast who play all the music live this is a must see for anyone who like vampires, rock opera, steampunk or any combination thereof. This show really must go a lot further than this year’s Fringe.”
“The performers were genuinely brilliant. Jonno Davies‘ Count Dracula struck just the right balance between inciting a come hither and a piss off.”
“Had no idea what to expect, but my god that was incredible.”
“Dracula was awesome – thoroughly recommend it if you are at the Fringe.”
“Went to see Dracula tonight; Absolutely bloody incredible!!”
“If you’re up in Edinburgh check out Dracula; epic show with fantastic music and a wonderful cast!!”
“Oh my god, Dracula is just crazy. Sexy, stormy, gutsy adaptation with incredible music!”
